CANstruction 2010

The 13th Annual Cincinnati CANstruction event sponsored by the American Institute of Architects was held
downtown in the Weston Art Gallery at the Aronoff Center on Friday, March 5, 2010. This marks the 8th year
Hixson has participated in the event, partnering once again with Reece Campbell Inc. The Team's entry,
"CANasaurus," won the Structural Ingenuity Award for its use of nearly 6,000 cans of tuna to form a replica of a dinosaur.
More importantly, approximately 68,000 cans were donated after the event by the participating teams to the
Cincinnati Freestore Foodbank to feed less fortunate families within the community.
