HIXSON BENEFITS
When you join Hixson, you will find that we are more
than just a company of great people and exciting projects with a strong
client base. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including:
- Health Insurance and More: Our current
health insurance has two options: a Point of Service Plan with copayments, deductible, prescription drug coverage and minimal paperwork, or a High Deductible Health Plan with a Health Savings Account. Other coverage provided by Hixson includes life insurance, short-term
disability, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment
insurances.
- Flexible Spending Account. Hixson's
Flexible Spending Account enables you to save pre-tax earnings to
pay for things such as dependent care, eye care, and unpaid eligible
medical expenses.
- Dental Plan. Hixson makes a direct
annual contribution (currently $825, and may increase January 1
each year) to each associate's Flexible Spending Account. This contribution,
which is prorated during the first year of employment, can be used
for dental or other eligible health care or dependent care expenses
or be taken as additional taxable compensation or contributed to your Health Savings Account.
- 401(k) Savings and Profit Sharing Plans.
Hixson will match 50% of each pre-tax or Roth 401(k) dollar you
contribute to our 401(k) plan, up to 6% of pay per pay period. These
401(k) contributions are 100% vested at all times. In addition,
a profit-sharing contribution is made on an annual basis to all
eligible associates if the Company Board of Directors believes it
to be a financially sound decision. This direct contribution, combined with the match described above,
has equaled approximately a $1 match from Hixson for each $1 the
associates have put into the plan. This contribution is subject
to a vesting schedule. Contact Hixson for more information about

- Personal Development. Hixson provides
full-time associates with a minimum of 40 hours of personal development
time. This time is to be used to improve or enhance capabilities
in a work-related area.
- Educational Reimbursement. Associates
who complete pre-approved undergraduate courses and obtain a satisfactory grade ("C" or better), or those in graduate courses who obtain an "A" or "B" - are eligible to be fully reimbursed for tuition/lab
fees.
