AUTOMATION PROJECT ENGINEER Opportunity: For project engineers to lead and participate in the definition, design and implementation of various control systems projects. Define logic diagrams, develop PLC ladder logic, operator interfaces, simulate and test applications while building on current knowledge of engineering in providing design engineering services. Build on your current knowledge of control systems by engaging in projects with clients throughout North America. This key role will develop a broad set of engineering competencies, technical design knowledge, consultation and problem solving skills. Position: Reports to the Manager of Automation and directly interacts with clients. Participates on design teams to develop control strategy, network architecture, control logic, HMI graphical user interface for Continuous and Batch Process Systems and Packaging Line Integration, Building HVAC Systems, Central Plant Utilities including: Hydronic Heating and Cooling Systems, Ammonia Refrigeration Systems and Compressed Air Systems. This position will proactively work with multi-discipline design teams and mentor junior engineers. Candidate: BSEE, BSME, BSIE, BSChE, or related degree; EI or PE a plus. 5+ years experience applying automated controls in the process and packing industries. Thorough knowledge of application development of PLC and HMI software in an industrial environment. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and associates. Available to travel for start ups and client meetings.
