SENIOR COST ESTIMATOR Opportunity: For an experienced construction estimator to provide leadership in an integrated team atmosphere comprised of clients, architects, engineers and project managers. Build on current knowledge of construction, conceptual, preliminary, design development and final grade estimating by engaging in projects with clients throughout North America. This key role will assist and learn from the Manager of Cost Estimating on a track to ultimately assume full responsibility. Requires someone with a strong interest, dedication and desire to oversee day-to-day details for project cost concerns by delivering the most accurate estimates in the industry. Position: Reports to the Manager of Cost Estimating, works closely with Project Managers, design teams and directly interacts with clients. Responsible for all phases of estimating construction costs for industrial, office, R&D and retail projects. Monitors project costs from inception to completion and responds to cost projection issues. Develops historical cost data and stays abreast of construction industry cost trends. This position will proactively work with multi-discipline design teams. Candidate: 15+ years construction industry estimating experience. Solid understanding of all aspects of construction and estimating. Accountable for complex facilities estimating accuracy. Strong customer service orientation- capably responds to both internal and external client needs. Not satisfied with the status quo- continually develops ways to improve the estimating process within the firm.
