Hixson offers several forms of conferencing. In one medium, project team members are provided with a portable, hand-held, wireless video system when they visit a site that allows others to view job-site conditions in real time from any internet-connected PC. Hixson also uses a Tandberg in-house conference room system that allows us to stay connected to other conference room systems or to a portable system furnished by us. Finally, by using net meeting technology, the Hixson project team and clients are able to collaboratively review and edit drawings, specifications, and cost estimates in real time.
Hixson builds a video walk-through of the proposed design solutions at three levels of finish quality. This video is presented prior to contract documents being completed and enhances understanding of quality expectations while minimizing change orders during construction.
