Cultured Dairy Producer
Plant Renovation / Addition
Midwest

When a dairy processor decided to increase the capabilities of its manufacturing facility to support rapid new growth in its cream cheese line of products, the company once again turned to Hixson for assistance.

From the start of the project, Hixson's experience in the food processing industry came into play. While the client had initially believed they needed a freestanding facility located near an existing plant, Hixson's team of architects and engineers were able to devise a solution for a building addition instead. This alternative solution eliminated cross-contamination concerns, as well as the need for a new boiler room, engine room and other administrative and employee welfare areas, lowered the total project cost by several million dollars and cut the project schedule by nearly two months.

According to the project manager for the dairy producer, "the project was very successful, thanks in no small part to (Hixson's) efforts."
