Hixson Adds Three New Shareholders, Elects New Officer


Hixson is pleased to announce that the following changes:

Scott J. Schroeder, LEED AP, Vice President and Manager of Client Development at Hixson is now a shareholder of the privately held firm, and has been elected as an Officer by Hixson’s Board of Directors. In this role, Schroeder oversees the strategic identification, assessment and pursuit of potential new clients and works with Hixson’s Project Management to help foster and maintain relationships with existing clients. A resident of Anderson Township, Schroeder is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

 

 

Michael Downing, CPE, LEED AP BD+C, is Manager of the Cost Estimating department at Hixson. In this position, Downing oversees the professional team that performs preliminary and conceptual estimating, monitors project costs from inception to completion, responds to cost projection issues and assists in developing historical cost data. In addition to his work at Hixson, Downing serves as the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) Chapter 38 Certification Committee Chairman, President of AACE Southwestern Ohio Section, and is a member of the ASPE National Certification Committee.  A resident of Western Hills, Downing holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

 

 

Dennis Spitznagel, Jr., P.E., LEED AP BD&C, is a Senior Project Engineer in Hixson’s Mechanical department. In this position, Spitznagel is responsible for designing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for R&D, industrial, retail and commercial office projects. Spitznagel, a resident of Colerain Township, holds a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati
