Start-Up on the Right Note

The June issue of Hixson’s From Experience newsletter explores why the successful start-up of utility systems and verification of performance is vital to ensure that critical systems function as designed to meet operating requirements. In fact, this step in a project represents the transition from construction to operation and can be the difference between operational success from day one or troubleshooting throughout the first few months of occupancy. Hixson has observed many examples where systems appear to be functioning correctly at project turnover, but in fact are not performing as intended.
