Hixson Halloween Reading Program 2018 Monster Faces

Spooky Stories at St. Francis de Sales School

Each Halloween, Hixson associates volunteer to read to Pre-K through 2nd grade students at St. Francis de Sales School in Cincinnati.   For this event, which is part of Hixson’s Partner in Education community service program, Hixson associates dress in costumes and read two grade-level appropriate books to the children.  After story time is over, each classroom keeps the books that were read to them, and treat bags are provided for each student.  Thank you to Brett Copeland, Brian MacKenzie, Carol Mackey, Christina Meyer, Kate Spille, Mitch Vanover and Shuting Zhao for representing Hixson this year!

Contributing creatively to the communities in which we live and work is one of Hixson’s core values. Events such as this represent a small portion of our overall goal of being an engaged partner with our community.
