A Look Inside: Hixson Ink
In 1991, a small group of Hixson associates met to put together the inaugural issue of the firm’s internal newsletter. The publication, aptly called Hixson Ink, a play on our formal name “Hixson Inc.,” has been going strong ever since. Current editor Christina Meyer has taken the newsletter from its original 4-page layout, to an 8-page, quarterly issue featuring a traditional mix of employee updates (including travel adventures, and upcoming birthdays, anniversaries and retirements), as well as company updates (such as firm-wide initiatives and community service activities). What makes Hixson Ink truly special though are the quirkier pieces, such as cartoons currently created by associate James Fiorini, a wrap-up Final Splash column and even a “Dear Hixi” question-and-answer column. All articles are written by and for, the associates of Hixson.
