Great Place to Work: Helping Careers Flourish

Hixson is committed to being a Great Place to Work for our associates! In previous posts, we’ve told you how we accomplish this goal through policies such as Continuous Employment, practices such as Continuous Improvement, and offerings like our in-house learning organization known as Hixson University.

Another way Hixson realizes its commitment to be a Great Place to Work is through “1600 time.” Through this, every associate within our firm receives a minimum of 40 hours of personal development time each year.  1600 time allows associates to enhance and develop their skills, knowledge and capabilities within their profession.  Many will use this time to attend conferences or seminars.  Some also choose to take part in “walk-a-miles.” These experiences allow associates to follow in the path of someone else, whether a client representative, a fellow associate, contractor, vendor, etc., to learn various aspects involved with the business during the course of their actual workday.
