A Magical Time: Halloween Reading Returns!

Hixson’s return to the classroom through our Partners in Education program continued last week with our annual Halloween reading event!  St. Francis de Sales students in Pre-K through second grade were positively spellbound by costumed Hixson volunteers who read age-appropriate Halloween books to them.  Afterwards, each student was given a bag of treats to enjoy, and the books were donated to the classroom library.

Thank you to Hixson associates Christina Meyer, Beth Robinson, Kate Spille, and to co-ops Samantha Aldrich and Nathan Lannes for being our reading volunteers this year as well as Shuting Zhao for taking great photos!

This event is just one way our associates help realize our commitment to provide service to the communities in which we live and work.
