Three Questions With…Chris Allen
Hixson’s Manager of Construction Administration, Chris Allen, R.A., LEED AP, CDT, celebrates 28 years with our firm this month! While many of us here know Chris pretty well, after all he’s been here almost three decades(!), we wanted to find out just a bit more about him, so we asked:
- What is your favorite part of your day-to-day work?
Every day is different and much of what I do in the day is probably not what I planned to do. We encounter so many challenges on a daily basis that it never gets old.
- What has been your proudest moment at Hixson?
I think my proudest moment here had to be seeing Greg Hammond named as our new CEO. I have known Greg since he was a co-op and have worked with him on a number of projects. To see him elevated to CEO, then watch him grow as a leader of our company is a great thing, and to know I might have had just a small part in that makes me very proud.
- People would be surprised if they knew <what> about you?
I have been collecting beer cans since fourth grade and have amassed a collection of over 1,500 different cans, most of which are displayed on walls of our basement.
Congratulations on your anniversary, Chris!
