Three Questions With…John Tunningley
Our latest video features Project Manager John Tunningley, R.A., talking about why he believes Hixson is a Great Place to Work. (And it is!) We wanted to learn a little more about John (who is also one of our newest shareholders), so we asked him these three questions:
- What energizes you at work? In addition to caffeine, of course, the thing that energizes me most is just having conversations and learning more about what everyone does. I’m a firm believer that we all have a ton that we don’t know, talking to teammates, learning more about them and what they do, always gets me pumped up.
- What’s one of your work-related accomplishments of which you’re really proud? Becoming a licensed architect was one of my biggest accomplishments. Going through the testing process was grueling but with the experience I received here and elsewhere I was able to breeze through most of the tests and conquer a task that had seemed insurmountable going into it.
- What would people be surprised to learn about you? I write for a very successful travel blog and have also completed a full ironman triathlon (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, 26.2-mile run).
Thanks, John!
