Hixson Wins Two Cincinnati Canstruction Awards!
We’re excited to share that the Hixson entry for the 2024 Cincinnati Canstruction contest…the fearsome DragCan perched on top of Cincinnati’s iconic Elsinore Tower…won not one, but TWO awards: Best Original Design and Juror’s Choice!
Through Canstruction, local Architecture, Engineering, and Construction firms compete to design and build structures made primarily from canned foods, which are then put on display to the general public. More importantly, all of the food used to create the structures ultimately goes to help those in need through the Cincinnati Freestore Foodbank.
