Last week, we said goodbye to Hixson’s Jim Adler, P.E., as he retired following a remarkable 40-year career, the last 26 years of which were spent with our firm.

Throughout much of his time at Hixson, Jim served as the Manager of our Refrigeration Engineering department, and also became known as a Subject Matter Expert in ammonia industrial refrigeration. Jim attributed his long tenure at Hixson to the “challenging work, fun people to work with, and the close friendships” he made along the way.

In retirement, Jim plans to devote his time to volunteering at various charities, such as Habitat for Humanity, as well as getting back into golf and exploring Europe.

Congratulations to Jim on his well-earned retirement and best wishes for the future!
