Warren Green Appointed to 3-A Steering Committee

Hixson is pleased to announce that the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) has appointed Hixson’s Warren Green, P.E., to serve on the Steering Committee of the 3-A Sanitary Standards Inc. Also known as 3-A SSI, the non-profit corporation is dedicated to the mission of advancing food safety through hygienic equipment design, and is overseen by three associations, IDFA, the Food Processing Suppliers Association, the International Association for Food Protection, as well as representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

As a member of the Steering Committee for 3-A SSI, Warren will apply his nearly 40 years of experience in the design and engineering of food-safe processes to represent the challenges processors face in installing, maintaining and cleaning equipment, serving as an advocate for hygienic design standards. His appointment is effective immediately.

About Warren Green
In his role as Vice President and Manager of the Process department at Hixson, Warren leads a team which provides core processing design services, process optimization, process safety evaluations, waste and energy minimization studies and master planning. Prior to joining Hixson in 2002, Warren spent 15 years at Dow Corning Corporation in process design, R&D, plant engineering and enterprise management training roles.  A registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), Warren holds an MBA from the University of Cincinnati and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
